TravelBug iOS App: Location & Bluetooth Data (App Store Compliance)

The TravelBug iOS application is designed to respect your privacy by default. To provide its core functionality in pairing with our physical hardware, the app requests specific device permissions.

  • Location Data (CoreLocation): The app requires background location access to actively map your travel trails when tethered to the device. All GPS and location data is processed and stored entirely locally on your personal iPhone. We do not transmit, upload, collect, sell, or share your location history to any remote servers, cloud databases, or third parties. Clearing your trail in the app or deleting the application permanently removes this data from your device.

  • Bluetooth (CoreBluetooth): The app requires Bluetooth access exclusively to detect and tether to your physical TravelBug hardware. We do not use Bluetooth for proximity marketing, tracking across other apps, or external data harvesting.

Personal Information We Collect or Process (E-Commerce)
